Gratitude Advent Calendar

With December just around the corner, we thought we could continue on the teachings of our Retreat and use this fun activity of making an advent calendar to practice gratitude.

Making your DIY advent calendar doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking. With just a little imagination you can create something that is perfectly unique, personal and helps you to reflect daily on what you are grateful for.

Start by designing your own number flags that you can use to create a beautiful calendar that’s full of personality, fun and excitement!

Try hanging your pretty numbered flags from string and secure it across an old op-shop picture frame with pins. You can use tiny organza or calico bags (from a $2 shop) to hide lovely little gifts, treats and goodies for the family and peg them to the string with mini wooden clothes pegs or fancy bulldog clips.

On the back of each numbered flag is a quote or phrase which is intended to encourage reflection, gratitude and mindfulness – which is perfect for this time of year!
